Is the ‘recent posts” the only way to get to other posts?

Interesting audit, Ana :)

I have known about my meta description and blog title could be better.

But i don’t want to change it, as i may loose traffics what i have now :(

Thanks for this cool blog audit!

Man, when do you have time to do all this. You did a guest post, answer the comments there, answer the comments here, doing analyzes. But I think this is a way to advertise your business ;)

You did a great analyzes again, although I could add this graph to the page load speed [http://i56.tinypic.com/i1y3wk.png] - just for more information.

Oh and there is a semantic extractor, that only shows your H1-6 hierarchy of your page here http://www.w3.org/2003/12/semantic-extractor.html

Hello Alex,

I guess it’s all about time management aside from the fact that I truly love what I’m doing. Thanks for the additional input on this. I truly appreciate it.

Have a great day,

Ana

Wow! What an extensive analysis. You’ve just reminded me of how much I have on my to-do list. Anyway, thanks for mentioning Tia’s post - it was an awesome one, wasn’t it? :)

Hey Anna,
It has been awhile since I have stopped by and I can see that was a mistake.

Great insight on the issues you pointed out and the way you offers suggestions.

It is always a great idea to get others opinions on what you do

Hey Ana

Another great review.

Some of your comments about current tag structure are a little tricky to implement since using those tags are determined by the original blog theme designer, and they are not that easy to change.

Any suggestions.

You are entirely correct, Peter.

That’s one of those things that I would outsource.

However, it does need to be done since it can really be quite important for SEO efforts.

I can give you my tech guru’s email address; he is great and extremely reasonable.

Hey Ana

For my purposes I know how to do it.

What holds me back is if an upgrade occurs for my theme and I want the upgrade then I have to go and make the changes again.

Maybe I will do it just as a test and see how it goes.

Greant analysis, Ana. I’m going to school on this. Just when I think I am getting my web site in shape, I get humbled by seeing how much work remains in front of me.

Hello Steve,

There’s always a room for improvement for all of us. That’s why it is important that we never stop learning and embracing changes. Don’t worry because I also feel the same way most of the time.

All the best,

Hi Ana,

Huge post for a friday ;)

I like the truth your giving to his blog. Very clean blog, he choose a specific blog post for his home page, not my favorite thing, but if this page is what he want to promote…

Maybe I would put the “recent post” more visible, to be able to read other things.

But the overall I give him a 8 out of 10!

Good job Oliver!

Another great analysis, Ana! The only portion upon which I would disagree is that his load time is good as it is. I just posted a detailed response to that issue on Oliver’s site. I think he can very easily get it down under two seconds with just two minor changes.

The rest of your impressions are spot on, IMO. ;)
Ana is very correct, Oliver, that you ranked for that phrase because of the issue, but it’s probably doing you a lot more harm than good. Between that and all the repeat links on 38 pages, you’re hemorrhaging PR heavily.

I tempted (and fearful) of inviting Ana to rake mine over the coals. A second set of eyes is always a good idea. Sometimes we just don’t see the obvious until someone points it out.

I also noticed, Oliver, that the meta data you show has some duplication in it, which is probably caused by overlap in the functions of some of your plug-ins. I’d investigate where else besides All In One SEO that your y_validator is entered… that and generator are the two duplicates.

Ana Hoffman trafficgenerationcafe.com November 19, 2010 at 3:10 pm

I actually do entirely agree with you, Sheldon.

I simply didn’t want to overload Oliver with too many things at once. In my opinion, there are many more urgent things that he needs to fix first.

Plus, I have recently written not 1, not 2, but 3 posts on how to improve your site speed :) ; my readers always have a choice to take my advice or leave it.

Thanks for coming by!

A small addition to #1, don’t just send freebie after freebie either. I’m on one list like that and its annoying. No actual content ever, just freebies mostly, and the occasional cost-based ad.

Freebies are nice, but c’mon now.

Since you’re wondering. She was a friend once, I stick around to see just when she might send something else…it’s been 3yrs now.
