Ever wonder how some YourNetBiz online business owners succeed while others fail?
How do some build huge profitable team, while others struggle to make a sale?
Do they have a better YourNetBiz website? Do they have a super-secret traffic source that they are not telling anyone about? Are they just born with it?
I was recently interviewed by a fellow online marketer Steve Wood (http://www.achievewithsteve.com/).
He asked me these same questions and more, and you will find the answers in the video below.
One of the biggest “secrets” that I’ve learned over the years of being YourNetBiz online entrepreneur is this:
Guru-ness is not required to become a success. The key to building your own YourNetBiz empire is finding success and duplicating it.
However, knowing what mistakes to avoid when building a profitable YourNetBiz is equally as important as knowing how to get where you want to be with YourNetBiz.
That was another important issue that I addressed in this interview.
If I had to do it over again, what mistakes would I avoid?
1. I would start with a top-tier online business like YourNetBiz right off the bat. Why? Same amount of work, much better money. Better money means reaching my goals of retiring my husband much sooner.
2. Forget the old, start with the new.
When I first started, I didn’t know any better, but to go with the old 3-foot rule - talk to anybody within 3 feet of you about your business.
Hated it, almost quit because of it.
Once I learned that it’s not really how money is made online, I felt much better. Learning marketing from scratch was not an easy challenge, but the results are worth it.
3. Duplication is king.
Always work with the company like YourNetBiz that has an easily duplicatable success system in place.
2 reasons for that:
- helps you start making money faster;
- frees you from personally training your team = you focus on growing your profitable business while your new team members know exactly how to set up their own YourNetBiz and start bringing in income in the shortest possible amount of time.
4. Don’t market the company you sign up with. Don’t use their replicated websites. Don’t use their canned auto responder message.
If anything ever happens to them or you decide to leave, you will be left with nothing. They keep all your leads.
You work for THEM, not for yourself.
I know making your own website might seem like a daunting task, but believe you me, it’s not.
I created my first YourNetBiz site all by myself from scratch. Without knowing ANYTHING about website building. All using a free piece of software called Nvu.
Your own website, auto responder, blog are a must, not an option - if your plan actually includes making money online, not just spending it on leads and advertising, that is.
5. Yes, having the right mentor is extremely important.
BUT, this is YOURnetbiz. So if your mentor walks out on you, make sure the company has enough of training and a great traffic-driving system in place that you can manage on your own.
After all, nobody will look out for your success as well as you will.
When you get into online marketing, you START A BUSINESS.
Not a hobby, but a BUSINESS. YOURNetBiz.
Treat it as such.
YourNetBiz success will follow.
Your are right: you don’t have to comment or retweet, but would it help if I told you it would be much appreciated?

How long have I known you for Ana? It hasn't been a year and I have seen first-hand what YourNetBiz has done for you. You are now teaching me things on a weekly basis. I can't wait till I see the day that you post "I Retired My Husband!"
Hey Ana, Great Interview. I think you have nail on the head for a lot of things. I think having a mentor is doing the same thing you are doing on a daily basis, an learning all the time is important. Because on-line techniques are changing so fast, that if you are not constanly learning you will be ran over eventually by all of the information out there. Again great post.
Thanks, Joey - the best thing about having the right mentor is for them to give you a push, but only YOU can insure your own success.
Such a wonderful interview Ana
I really enjoyed it and I'm sure your other readers will as well. As for the idea of having a mentor, while it is an important aspect of your business it is but one piece of the puzzle. Just like you said, this is your business afterall, so we should all learn to take responsibility for it.

Very well-said, Angel - no blame game when it's YOUR business. In the end, I take responsibility for both failure and success, so you bet I will try to maximize my chances for the latter.
Duplication is so easy to do. Just need to add some of our personalities to the mix. But everyone is looking for the latest big trend. In that process, they spend more time than needed on something that is not proven and doesn't work and fail. Great article Ana
I am guilty of that, Stephane, too - need to stay focused!
Ana
Ana,
I cringe when I see someones blog, channel, etc. filled with their MLM commercials. I want to take those folks under my wings and scream at the top of my lungs!! You're doing it all wrong. The saddest part of this-is they are taught by their sponsors the wrong way right from the start.
Unfortunately, those people are very much unaware of their own ignorance. They keep listening to their upline, doing everything they are told and still wonder why their business is going down the drain.
It simply does not occur to them to see if there is a better way of doing it.
