  I also use Insights (only just started with it last week). It is definitely limited, but really does make some things easier. Looking for a link to an old post, for example.

  The process you use for writing is quite similar to my own. I use an excel spreadsheet to handle my list of posts by keywords. That makes it so easy to find internal link options.

  Ryan’s idea about writing when offline is a good one too. I find that I am much more productive when I am away from Twitter.

  Style is something I struggle with as I am not really happy with my ‘voice’ yet. But, I am working on it.

  I completely agree Ana.

  To me, it does make sense to me that Google would stop broadcasting this number as focusing on that one number kind of misses the point.

  PR always seemed to be about building a community and gaining exposure and status outside of that community. Just my view, of course. No one at Google called me about any of this.

  So, I just concentrate on those things rather than a number that only changes every few months, or half a year, or never.

• WWW vs non-WWW: Why You Should Put All Your Links in One Basket
  This is one of those ‘little’ things that can be frustrating for people who do not have much technical experience. Another part of this is to set up 301 redirect. There are a couple of wordpress plugins that will also do this for you, or someone can google “set up 301 redirect” for directions.

  I definitely recommend testing to see if your url with and without the ‘www’ take you to the same page. If so, it is beneficial to fix it.

  It is like you are reading my mind (which is probably not something one would really ever want to read). This is near exactly what I have been thinking about lately for a project I am about to start.

  For icebluebanana, I do comment regularly, or at least read, a few blogs written by people I like and who I think will be around a while to build their site up. I like to think of it as “long tail link building”.

  Anyway, I also do some bookmarking and occasionally submit an article to either ezinearticles or goarticles (what can I say, I like variety:)). But, it is the time it takes to get all of these less-helpful links that really keeps me from going after them. Plus, services like UAW are too expensive IMO. Even if you work out a strategy that is successful, $70/month could be better spent elsewhere. You could hire a VA to go after quality links, for example (not that I do that).
