A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post about possibilities of using Ebay for link building and even list building.
Take a look at the result of my research:
Ebay For Link Building: Going Once, Going Twice… And It Works!
I wasn’t surprised to hear that not too many of you heard of this link building strategy before.
So fueled by your curiosity, off I went, exploring the possibilities of Ebay traffic generation.
Before I tell you what I found out, let me tell you WHY I think you should give this method a careful consideration.
By its very definition, Ebay is a huge marketplace where people come with their credit cards at hand.
Since most of us are working on making money blogging or any other online methods, this is a tremendous possibility to find laser-targeted traffic that is looking to buy exactly what we have to offer.
You want to sell, they want to buy - it doesn’t get any better than that!
Another reason to give Ebay traffic generation a serious shot is because not too many of your competitors are doing it.
In fact, I did an EXTENSIVE research trying to see if there are any resources out there talking about Ebay link building and traffic generation for bloggers and other online marketers and found NONE.
So it would be pretty accurate to say that we are entering unchartered waters here.
Let’s move on to the meat of the topic at hand though.
I thought that my research was so great that I decided to let a much wider audience in on it.
I published the results of my Ebay research over at BlogEngage AND even entered it in a blogging contest.
Now, I’ve tried this once before and my post never made it anywhere close to the top; I am planning to change it this time - WITH YOUR HELP.
Here’s what I would love for you to do, my dear readers:
1. Read my post:
Ebay Traffic Generation Strategy: Going, Going… and it’s yours!
2. Leave a comment!
3. Share it with the universe: tweet, share, bookmark - whatever your preference is.
4. Go and implement it! At the very least, create some pages with backlinks, but I would strongly suggest to explore it to its full potential.
5. Check out these great sponsors who are nice enough to give up some money for a mere link. ![]()

I can’t really say that I’ve had much success with ebay. With all the rule changes and poor customer service I’ve been kind of turned off from them. However, I’ve never used it as a strictly traffic source, hmmm…
Yesterday I saw your eBay page Tutorial. In this tutorial you mention the different style of work.how you create a eBay page.Really nice but it is easy to create eBay page for my personal website. If yes! so it’s nice to me and also my website.eBay is the Do-follow or no do-follow website

It’s wonderful you’re teaching about using eBay for link building. I just traded tweets with another blogger a few days ago about our activity on eBay, and spoke to a client last night about their eBay strategy. Thank you for sharing your insights with us.

I haven’t been paying enough attention to BlogEngage, to be quite honest with you, Sheila.
What I like about them is how active they are; it’s nice to see a community where bloggers actually know each other and interact accordingly.
Are you an active user? What’s your impression?

Ana,
I have not joined. But I have noticed several bloggers I like to follow participate. I will be checking it out. Thank you.

When I was 19 I used to sell a lot of stuff on eBay, I was even featured on a late night infomercial, lol. Back then they let you put links in your auctions and I used it to build a downline in a affiliate marketing program that paid people while they surfed. Funny looking back =)
I will hit your blog on the other page and lets get you to win that contest!!
