Yesterday, my husband and I happened to walk into our favorite restaurant and for the first time ever we had to wait for a few minutes to get seated. Bummer! Not knowing how to stand still, we wandered into some ritzy “clothing and stuff” boutique next door.
The store was empty; we noticed some pretty paintings on the walls, racks with out-of-style clothing, lots of over-priced jewelry, and… the store owner. She sized me up and immediately knew what I could not live without; she did not leave me alone for a second from that point on. We ended up walking out of the store as soon as it was politely possible, empty-handed and relieved.
The moral of the story is obvious. Nobody likes the “get in your face” pressure sales. Yet had I been left alone, I might’ve actually found a piece or two to collect dust in my closet instead of the store rack.
People like to buy, but don’t like to be sold.
Had the store owner left me to my own devices after giving me a couple of pointers, I would’ve felt like the decision to buy was all mine. That lady never heard about attraction marketing.
So, what is attraction marketing?
Some say attraction marketing is the difference between SUCCESS and FAILURE; I think that successful attraction marketers are just former struggling newbies who never quit and busted their tails to find answers.
They are the ones who got tired of calling garbage leads all day, talking to people who have no business starting a home business in the first place, making dead-end follow-up calls, and explaining to people why their home business is “the next big thing for sure”.
See, the problem with all of this is that people do not join a business, they join YOU.
Got that?
If you are focused on selling your company, product, or pay plan, then get in line, because, I bet everybody else in your company is doing the same thing.
Now, try to sell YOURSELF first as a leader, as someone who knows what they are talking about, as an authority who commands respect and following… then you’ve got something.
In a nutshell, attraction marketing is becoming the stalked instead of the stalker, the chased instead of the chaser, the hunted instead of the hunter.
Wow! There’s revelation if I ever heard one.
How do you become the hunted?
Know this: you cannot “dupe” anybody into being attracted to you. Attraction is not a choice, it’s more of a natural instinct. In our day and age, we are wired to find people attractive (or not) through the VALUE that we perceive them to have.
Think of a Hollywood star’s entourage. Everybody wants to know you simply because of your affiliation. In the eyes of the crowd, you are perceived to have a special value; after all, you’ve done something right to be accepted into the “inner circle”.
The way you become the “star” everybody wants to work with is by increasing your value to others through education and experience.
The more valuable you become to others, the more they will seek you out.
The more valuable you become to others, the better leader you will become.
The more valuable you become to others, the more successful you become in your business.
That’s THE secret of attraction marketing.
Attraction Marketing Mental Exercise
Here is what I want you to do right now: sit down and ask yourself this question… What do I bring to the table right now in the eyes of your prospects? Don’t hide behind your company or product. What do you PERSONALLY bring to the table?
If you improve the life of your prospects in some way by bringing them some valuable knowledge and do it without asking for anything in return, you instantly SET YOURSELF APART FROM THE CROWD. You become someone who does not shove your opportunity down their throat; rather you show them WHY you are the one to follow.
Take The Dollar Sign Off Your Forehead
Your prospects are looking for solutions… so provide them with solutions! Whether it be health, or weight loss, or legal, or financial issues, show them that you are the one with the answers. Give without asking for anything in return. By doing so, you become the authority that your prospects want to be affiliated with, thus setting yourself apart from the crowd.
Attraction marketing is THE WAY to build your business. It won’t happen overnight, it will take work and determination and education, of course, but it will also determine your success as an online entrepreneur.
The choice is now yours: do you want to remain the pursuer or become the pursued?

I like your attitude. Selling includes brightening the days of your customer. The better you can do that the more likely your customer will refer you and come back to you.
Selling by pushing will only ensure that the customer is feeling bad the next day after the purchase.
Selling brightening the days of a customer means offering the information neccessary to come up with a decision that lasts. The best way to do it is in an enjoyable way for your customers as well as you.
When you have fun telling about your service or products you will attract the customers that enjoy purchasing it.
Enjoy what you do and you enjoy attracting your customers towards you
