I was against pop-ups at one stage but since I’ve started using them my opt-ins are on the increase. Had I not stopped at the one I use now I may have looked more at Maxiblogs. If they support video pop-up I might have a look though.

  With the way we change things around on our blogs and test out suggested plugins it’s no wonder we drag a little at times. Thank goodness for tech heads because W3 Total Cache is awesome. I was 11 seconds loading before I installed it 4 months ago. Averaging just under 3 seconds and I’m bloated so I started another domain to take some load off.

  It’s the plugins that do it every time. Recommended number is 10 -12 max but I’m running 15. If your back office is taking ages to switch between sections that’s a good indication your plugins are weighing you down. Which means it’s time to trim but figuring out the bandwidth hogs isn’t easy.

  Total Cache makes it dead simple to switch to Amazon S3 and everything went smooth except pictures in my posts dont appear. Now I gotta figure that out. Any help would be well received. Great subject Ana thanks for sharing.

  I’m very much still feeling my way in the dark as a “noob” but with the amount of help available from the likes of yourself and may of your subscribers the journey gets more interesting every day.

  In complete agreement with Marcus..Go Fug Yourself had me in laughter straight up so I can see another blog site eventuating for me somewhere down the track. The current site will always run because I like to help people get started in creating their own piece of Social Media real estate which is what I think blogging is all about only at a more personal level.

• New Google Instant: New Need For Speed?

  I think it comes from the desire to earn more money. I can see the larger corporations vying for top spot and therefore spending more in an effort to get placed in the “instant results”. What does concern me though is if the instant results will be a static response once the keyword is typed in and the remaining words overlooked. Then it would be a case of investing to stay in the loop. Can’t see it though because that would change the dynamics of search engines entirely.
