Let’s talk about one of my favorite topics: increasing your social media traffic generation via YouTube video marketing.

Why do I like video marketing so much, you ask?

Really, no obvious reason.

I am not particularly great at being in front of the camera (video camera, to be more precise). I am Russian, so I have an obvious accent. I am terrible at memorization or improvisation.

However, video marketing was one of the first marketing techniques that I “got”. My YouTube channel got Page Rank 4 within a month after I started working it and social media traffic to my blog was through the roof.

ASK your viewers to leave comments and rate your video. More comments translate to higher rankings. Ask and you shall receive; don’t ask and…well, you get the point.

2. Optimize Tags/Keywords

Embed more specific tags in your video for less competition. In other words, include as many specific keywords in your title and description as you can without sounding spammy – find a good balance. You’ll get better views, rank higher, and attract even more traffic.

3. Start a Discussion

Do not just talk at your audience; rather involve them into a discussion, provoke some thought process.

For instance, I tell my YourNetBiz team that the goal of your video is to draw in more prospects, so ask your viewers how they’d achieve their dreams of more money in the bank.

When you get people to actively think and talk about your home business, the battle is half won.

4. Create a Network of Friends

That’s where you make plenty of friends by watching and commenting on the videos of anyone who’s done the same for you (be proactive with this approach as well). Trust me, building bridges drives up your YouTube views = increases your social media traffic.

Invite people to become friends, subscribe to their channels, and soon enough you will see a surge of traffic to your own channel.

5. Respond to Popular Videos

Take a look at videos with high rankings and views. Make a video response. That way, you’ll drive some of their traffic to your own videos, thus getting more social media traffic.

6. Be Consistent

Add fresh videos every ten days or so. Don’t go overboard. Keep your message focused.

7. Stand Out

Your videos have to grab the attention of your viewers so they come back for more of the same. Your first shot at YouTube traffic generation should start with an exciting visual that’s packed with the punch. You’ll guarantee views, ratings, and comments!

I know it’s easier said than done, it’s not impossible though. Do you research, watch many videos for inspiration, and it will come.

8. Perfect Your YouTube Channel

Design an outstanding channel to draw in your viewers. Impress them with your creativity. Pump up your bio. Don’t sell, just draw in. How can you help others live their dreams?

9. Most Viewed Videos

You definitely want to get in that league for maximum YouTube views and the highest rankings. Hordes of targeted traffic with plenty of comments and mega ratings.

In order to get there, you will have to utilize all the things we have talked about above and be persistent with them.

10. Using Software

Here comes a word of caution: there is plenty of software out there that “guarantees” you’ll be in major league in next to no time. YouTube has recently gotten very strict about tracking the channels that appear to use such software and shutting them down. In the end, it’s your business, it’s your choice, but know of the consequences before you plunge into it!
