Pages is like the Mac version of Microsoft Word. Pretty much the goal is to draft somewhere outside of the WordPress editor, so that could be Microsoft Word (which I have), Pages, Evernote, or something else. I like Pages as I can really lay out the page and then copy/paste into WordPress for final editing.
