Hi Ana,

Thanks for another great resource to help make our life as a blogger easier.

I do believe that it only fair that links are shared…the evil no follow!

Will go instal it now.

Anyway, thanks for this! I’ve already used it a couple times and will come back whenever I need to in the future.

Yes, DoFollow Blog Finder Tool in an awesome tool. On the other hand the Google is getting smarter and smarter also.

At one point, while back I have installed every tool that found until… you will not believe Google said “sorry” Big guys are still polite and humble… Well, that’s what came up: “We’re sorry…” - “… but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can’t process your request right now.”

My point is if you will use any tools that are sending all kind of requests regarding the page you visited, make sure you uncheck the things you don’t need. But even then use the tool when you really need to research something, otherwise your IP address might be blocked… Nothing big to worry… :)

By the way, this is the plugin that I was talking about that gave me the biggest problem. http://www.seoquake.com/ Later they came out with a video on their site how to set it up… I guess were to many complains from users that their IP’s were getting blocked…

Thank You Ana for sharing!

I am a bit lost with this article. I have SEOquake toolbar already installed - but don’t get your point about its relevance to the point. More my fault than yours I am sure as this is something I haven’t really got into.
I did click the info tab on my toolbar - and it says this blog’s links are no follow - whatever that means!
cheers

Hi Ana,

I will definitely be linking to this post in tomorrow’s blog post! Awesome find…I’m so excited to go try it out! Going dofollow has been a huge benefit for me as far as encouraging my readers to leave blog comments and I love it when I’ve read a great post and discover that their blog is dofollow. :) You just made my life so much easier! No more “hightlight” - “right click” - “view selection source” etc.

Great resource here again. I just wish that it would be possible without any further firefox addons, I have already installed 25+ addons and they seem to slow down my firefox browser on times.

Reply

Ana Hoffman trafficgenerationcafe.com October 28, 2010 at 9:09 am

I know what you mean, Andreas.

You can do this without an addon; just takes a bit longer to look up the code to see if the blog is using a rel=”nofollow” in their links.

I guess you pick the lesser of 2 evils. :)

Hi Ana,

again, an interesting post about an intereresting subject. To answer your question: I love it. One question: Aren’t people coming from a Do-follow-directory considered as spammers by some blogs ? Some other commentators addressed that issue, I think.

Thanks for your insights.

Take care

The reason some bloggers keep their blogs DoFollow is to encourage traffic and comments.

It doesn’t matter where the traffic comes from. As long as it’s quality traffic with good input - and that’s what any commenting is all about.

Many bloggers try to get into those directories precisely to generate more traffic.

Of course, this is not a directory of any kind; just a way to separate Do from NoFollow blogs.

Great question, Oliver!

Ana,

I love the resources you provide in your whole Do Follow series but particularly your Juicy Blog Traffic: Want Some? DoFollow! post.

I agree with your advice on commenting on post that deserve a comment regardless of do follow or not.

I read through many of your posts your about page which were great. I was wondering if you had written about your own marketing plan and if you had a post detailing your journey from site launch to a high traffic ?

Hey Ana,
I tried your search for a certain keyword and the blog didn’t allowed comments. I guess you it was hit be spam or something .
I don’t want to be a flamer or something, but I think someone tried a custom google search do find do follow blogs and fail. Do you think you found the magic solution?

P.S.I didn’t say it before, but I know 3 girls with the name Ana and all are beautiful. I think is something fishy with the name Ana and beauty.
