“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me is more important that facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearances, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one string that we have, and that is our attitude…
I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it.
And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.”

Yup! We can’t change the way how people think, but we can definitely change the way we think about people!
I don’t have much reason to be a fan of AA, although I am sure they do incredible things, but I am a big fan of God.
I think true Christians are the definition of attraction marketing.
Thanks for stopping by, Susan!

Right on. It’s not what happens to us, but how we respond that matters. Whether or not you are a fan of AA, they do have it right on that point. Whenever something disturbs me, it is something in ME that I need to examine. And wow is it so much more attractive to see someone responding positively in adversity than negatively!

Excellent, I thought you added great content and value with your article, thank you very much
Thanks, Christine. I had this framed for my husband - he needs to be reminded, like we all do, that we are who we let ourselves be.

I liked what you said “I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it.” I completely agree as well. We all get dealt certain hands in life, but it's all about how we react to it. Thanks for sharing!
I totally agree! And I love Charles Swindoll! Great guy! Thank you so much for this!
Charles Swindoll is amazing indeed. He’s done so much in his lifetime already.
