Promote Yourself: More About You & Your Business

360 Flares 360 Flares ×

Hello and welcome!

I originally created this page as a way for you, my new visitors, to introduce yourselves and promote your blogs/websites/businesses.

Since then, this page took the life of its own indeed.

I’ve watched people finding new business partners, learning how to get more traffic, networking, discovering great new sites - and truly turning this page into a tightly-knit community where everybody’s welcome.

I’ve seen many other blogs following the trait and starting their own “Promote Your Blog” pages - a great compliment and affirmation that in the world of all the online noise, we all still need to find a place where we can talk about what’s near and dear and still be heard.

So, feel free to:

Promote Your Blog

  • introduce yourself,
  • tell us more about what you do,
  • what drives you,
  • whether you need/offer help with anything
  • promote yourself, in other words.

Meeting new people and networking is a huge part of being an online business owner and this is a great place to do just that.

Get More Traffic to Your Site

Remember what brought you to this page?

Yes, my Twitter message I sent after you followed me through one of my Twitter accounts.

Would it surprise you to know that hundreds of people find my blog and this particular page DAILY, with minimum effort on my part?

Probably not, since you saw first-hand how well this works.

So here’s your first traffic generation tip:

Discover how to use Twitter to drive traffic back to your site and then turn that traffic into regular readers and customers.

Here’s the plan:

Step 1. Download TweetAdder

This is what I use to find more targeted markets that might be interested in what I have to offer.

Tweet Adder was the very first traffic generation strategy I put in place when I started Traffic Generation Cafe, and it worked so well that Twitter remains my main referral traffic source to this day.

Download your TweetAdder here

Side note:

Make sure to get 5-profile license at the very least; otherwise, it’s not worth the trouble.

Step 2. Landing Page

Set up a landing page that works best for YOUR niche - it might be something similar to what I did here or something entirely different.

Use your creativity!

Step 3. Twitter Message

Come up with several Twitter messages to automatically send out to your new Twitter followers.

Use your Tweet Adder for this as well.

Figure out which copy works best, then start using that one for all your accounts.

Step 4. Engage

Remember, we are doing all this to convert casual visitors into a long-term asset.

It’s not about bringing them to your blog to make a quick buck with a few AdSense clicks.

With that in mind, once you bring your new Twitter followers back to your site, engage with them.

Encourage them to read more.

Impress them with your great content.

Respond to their comments.

There’s a reason I have 1,000+ comments on this post.

There’s a reason most people who come here from Twitter stick around… for good.

Step 5. Act

Do you know what the biggest cause of all business failures is?

Failure to act.

At some point you need to stop “learning” and start doing.

I just told you the real scoop behind Traffic Generation Cafe’s rapid growth.

It’s time to put this traffic generation method to good use on your own site, don’t you think?

Download your TweetAdder here

What to Do Next

Now that you’ve nailed at least one traffic generation technique down, don’t be a stranger - grab a cup of coffee, stay a while, and read some of the traffic generation advice I offer on this blog that TRULY DOESN’T SUCK:

1. How to Build an Email List 101

2. How to Increase Traffic to your Site

3. How to Convert That Traffic into Paying Customers

… and so much more!

I Would Also DEFINITELY…

…check out my absolutely FREE SEO report, where I spell out in great detail how you can start driving more search engine traffic back to your website.

Here’s another idea on how you can get some exposure on Twitter: share the ish out of this post.

All your followers (and mine if you add me @AnaTrafficCafe) will read about your company – free advertising.

Off to respond to your comments,

Hi Ana, thanks for this once in a life time opportunity to promote myself - I’m feeling like it’s my birthday :)

Well, I am an engineering graduate (just graduated last month :) ), and I just started off as a niche blogger so as to start generating income from the internet - the fear of finding no job out there scares the sh*t out of me.

It’s nice joining your lively community over here.

Hi Ana,

Thanks for the welcome….Love visiting here…so organized and
well designed: A Bloggers Dream!

Question??
I have the Com for my blog domain(info) ….would it make sense to transfer what I have to the com domain?

How did it end up like this?

In 2011 I started a site for a coaching class, just kept adding on and here I am with a Blog whose info type domain is still considered almost spam by some of the powers that be!

Guess that is what happens when you do it yourself and never go and read others blogs and learn what the bought programs seldom mention!
Very interested in what you think!

Ana Hoffman May 5, 2013 at 1:42 pm

If you are planning on working on your site long-term, it at least pays to secure the .com version. I wouldn’t necessarily transfer anything to it, just redirect it to your .info site.

Reply

Sam April 13, 2013 at 8:42 pm

I would love it if you would consider doing a few industry-specific articles, for those who happen to be in customer-oriented niche markets like real estate or home repair services. :)

Reply

Ana Hoffman April 15, 2013 at 6:55 am

Yes, I’ve been thinking about that, Sam, but I’d have to start a new website since there are so many niches to cover and each one would have a more narrow audience that Traffic Generation Café does.

Hi Ana,

my formal name is unimportant (and unspeakable for you), as I don’t use it, my real name is stated above and I’m a kind of spectre, troll and trollslayer from way different niches - mostly discussion boards, event management, social work, NGO and few others..

In relaton to you and your blog, most interesting is my membership in a board of WordPress powered e-zine, oriented on sub-genre of gothic subculture: Steampunk.
Not only I create some text from time to time (reviews, invitations), but I also seek improvements in cooperation with my friend/boss. So, recently she added few addons, including SEO helper and we have a “great fun” opening old articles and doing SEO right now.. @_@

Basically, we are a bunch of selflearning amateurs, burning our free time on a project, that can possibly have up to 4-digit impact per week, but now we’re in low 3-digit zone.
I know, that it sounds pretty low, but http://www.steamzine.cz is… well… CZ server - that meaning, that we’re fishing in a 10-milion language-user pool, with about 500 unique ppl visiting events in RL, most of them allready reading/supporting/contributing to/promoting the project…
It couldn’t make us wealthy and famous, but it’s making us respected among community and alows us to easily cooperate on various, even international events.

So, I’m going tu lurk into your posts, try to gather as much and try to implement it somehow to improve our credibility in our national webspace :)

My blog “Flourish” was started to encourage women in their relationship with Jesus. Some days are really hard, kids can be wonderful and also a little stressful (let’s face it) and we often wonder what God has to say about all of this “life” we live. I hope to encourage with truth and a little experience. Also read my own personal story of being diagnosed HIV+ when I was newly pregnant with my first child. http://www.shannalehr.com
