Comment posted on DoFollow Express: Is Traffic Generation Cafe Getting Off? by Oliver Tausend
Hi Ana,
hm, no sugar coating allowed…no need for sugar coating. I read the original comment you are quoting here on Facebook and I asked myself why this guy was so…Ok, not quotable…
Really cool answer of yours.
People who have certain “expectations” when doing this or that on social media will have a hard time when it comes to building their business or whatever their purpose might be.
I would always comment on a well-run blog regardless if it’s DoFollow or not. Yours is definitely a well-run one because you take the time to answer any comment at least briefly and your content is great: Stuff I don’t easily relate to in agreeable atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing your insights. I will inform my readers that my blog is a DoFollow-blog.
Take care
Oliver

- 5 Traffic Generation Strategies I Stay Away From
Hi Ana,thanks for sharing your insights. Apart from TrafficExchanges, I didn’t try any of these - and I don’t intend to do so. I ended up hating those TrafficExchanges, but I know reliable people who sponsored awesome people into their businesses.
Whatever traffic generation we pursue we have to know what we’re doing - absolutely right. But we also have to have the right attitude. I hated this TrafficEchange stuff after 5 minutes - and I followed through for weeks and months. Doomed to fail after 5 minutes due to the wrong attitude.

- 10 Rules of Social Engagement That Will Make or Break Your Blog Readership
Hi Ana,thanks for sharing your tips. I’m already looking forward to the future posts. Thanks for pointing out the social proof issue. I think a lot of people aren’t even aware of the fact that they’re creating negative social proof with 10 followers on NetworkedBlogs and 15 fans on Facebook.

- Blog Audit Friday: This Is How the Strong Become Stronger
Hi Ana,wow, another powerful audit from your desk. As far as I’m concerned, I had some type of guts feeling that something was wrong with my blog and I even sensed what, not in entire detail of course.
So no need to whine if someone points it out professionally like you.
Deep down, we know it already.
If I go and see a doctor because I feel sick I want him to tell me what I have and not that I am healthy when I’m not. I mean, even positive thinking has its limits.
That was my attitude when I volunteered for your blog audit.
I am sure that Robert also views it from the professional angle.
The good thing about your audits is their regularity. Every Friday they remind me of my own points of ache and that my to do-list that is still long.
Thanks for sharing your expertise.

- Lead Conversion Strategies - The Missing Puzzle To YOUR Success
Hi Mavis, thanks for putting this fireworks of advice together. Calling people and building relationships is highly important - to me it’s one of the most important means of increasing conversion. If we fail in following up (and following through) with people, even a flood of fresh leads won’t help us.

- How to Drive Traffic To a New Blog Through a Commenting Tribe
Hi Ana,first of all thank you a huge “Thank you” and a big hug from me…for the invitation to your group back in July and the incredible momentum you created, also for not shying away from following through with the rules.
Is this really forced commenting ? I don’t think so because we all do it voluntarily even if we are part of a community and “have ” to keep our end of the deal.
On very very rare occasions I wouldn’t have left a comment if I hadn’t been supposed to leave one.
So it’s a deal: A deal everybody benefits from.
I have the impression that those who feel like being forced disappear from the group anyway. And that’s perfectly OK.
I agree with Heather that I got in contact with amazing people - like you and Heather for example and others of course - and that true friendship developped.
I hope that I was able to contribute something positive to other people’s lives just like other people did to me.
Be blessed and keep up your great work.
Cheers
Oliver

Hi Ana, I usually comment in some high traffic blogs mainly for my link building campaign. But whenever I find an article which gives more values to the readers I don’t worry about the Nofollow, dofollow thing. I just post a comment to appreciate the author. The later is the reason that I am commenting here.
