It’s a shame that the popular you get you need to make these kinds of decisions.

I’m mostly with Dwayne on this one. If the article moved me in such a way that I feel the need to comment, dofollow vs nofollow makes zero difference to me. I would appreciate the link, but it doesn’t make or break my experience.

It’s good to know about this alternative even though I’m nowhere near ready for it yet. thanks, much.

Lisa you’re absolutely right. I only started making progress once I started interacting and engaging other people.

If you give to people and treat them as more than a possible backlink then you can reap the rewards of friendship AND some traffic :)

It’s not just about what you can get. Great post!

  • How to Twitterize Your Brand the Right Way
    Hey Sheldon,

thanks for this post. I think the thing I need to do now is split off into a different twitter account for some of those who are my personal friends. More and more are starting to ask me for my Twitter info and I’ve found some of their personal tweets to be a bit jarring when I’m in “business” mode, lol.

I’m sure they don’t understand many of my tweets and retweets, either. Not to mention that I can’t expect them to retweet anything I post so I might as well not have them on there.

I haven’t actually thought out my “ratio” of tweets to retweets. When I find something relevant and interesting that my followers can get some value out of I go ahead and retweet it. It might happens in a cluster and then I might not find anything else, so I do disappear for the rest of the day.

I might work on scheduling those and spreading out the posting. Thanks again and all the best

Yeah you’re right you did say that. It was early in the morning when I wrote my comment and I must have spaced out. Apologies, thanks for the article! :)
  • 5 Traffic Generation Strategies I Stay Away From
I’ll have to agree with Josh about the Pay Per Click. I haven’t done it myself but I do know people who have used Facebook ads, driven many people to like their facebook page and from their converted sales to their site.

The budget thing does hold true if you’re not “capturing” those people, but once you have them on your list even if you stop your ad campaign you still have those people.

Aside from that I definitely agree with the rest.

  • How to Drive Traffic To a New Blog Through a Commenting Tribe
Very nice, Ana. I’m going to look into the commenting Tribe and see if I can find some like-minded individuals to connect with. This is an idea that is so obvious and yet it would *never* have occurred to me.

Thanks much for the info you provide. Peace!

Hi Ana, I usually comment in some high traffic blogs mainly for my link building campaign. But whenever I find an article which gives more values to the readers I don’t worry about the Nofollow, dofollow thing. I just post a comment to appreciate the author. The later is the reason that I am commenting here.
