I feel with Buffer you can strike up a healthy balance between the two things as there is a “tweet now” and an “add to Buffer” function.
Sometimes I felt that I am reading a lot of great posts in a row in a short space of time. Instead of posting them all at once and overwhelming my followers with too many tweets I add them into Buffer, which will space them out a little, and delay them for a few hours.
What do you think about that? Would love to hear your thoughts on this Jonathan

Is there a way to set Buffer to send out two tweets at a time?

It’s a very interesting concept Leo, one which I wasn’t aware of before. I personally won’t be using it however, as I like my tweets to be spontaneous, what I’m feeling there and then, even when retweeting content.

Hmm, you know, I really don’t agree with this method. I think it defeats the entire purpose of Twitter, which is real time interaction/connection. I unfollow people pretty much immediately when I detect anything “inorganic” about their tweeting habits. It’s just a waste of my time.

I actually just started writing “content tweets,” and have basically just created a spreadsheet of the date it’s to go out, the tweet itself, and then a column for the link when it posts. I write enough for the month ahead, and then schedule them in HootSuite. Buffer’s interface looks a lot cleaner, though.
Is there a way to add more than one Twitter account?

That’s really great to hear, yes just like you say “content tweets” takes quite a bit of organisation and you seem to have a really good system developed for it.
With Buffer, you can simply throw those tweets in and they will be scheduled and sent out for you.
Yes, you can connect multiple Twitter accounts with Buffer and even add the same tweet to multiple accounts with just one click. It is currently a Pro feature for 5$/mo. Hope you will give it a go, would love to hear your views on this Elizabeth!

I love the “Tweet now” button that was added recently to Buffer! Finding a guest post by you here has reminded me (yet again) that I need to add more times to my account so I can stop with the “Dude, where’s my Tweet?” *look at the clock* “Oh yeah. Duh. Not time yet.”
I’ve also been playing around with the highlight feature, and now I have to remind myself not to get crazy with it. But even if I did, Buffer’s there to hold my horses when I can’t seem to. =)

I have not used Buffer to this extent. i think it was a matter of getting in and finding out what it is all about. Thanks for this great overview. Yet another example of the old saying that you learn something new every day. I didn’t know about Buffer, but I certainly want to look into it. No one has the time to manually tweet at the optimum times throughout the day, so this feature would come in handy.

I usually wreck my brain trying to come up with clever, funny tweets that my followers will love. And while i make one tweet, others make 10. This seems like a great tool, i would definitely use if, if only for the scheduling tweets feature.

Yes, Buffer would be a great tool to increase the potential of our tweets. Buffer will certainly allow us to post in the best times (twitter peaks) which is equal to more exposure. I haven’t really tried Buffer (although I have read about it in many blogs). I will surely try it (I tend to be a procrastinator when it comes to trying out new tools).

Buffer seems to be something that’s going to be very useful. I think I’m going to like it because it’s different than all the other auto programs out there.
Here’s a way to be more personable with your Tweets on auto pilot as you come across good content on the web. I think it’s a no brainier for Twitter.

Twitter is a handy tool and so many people use it improperly. When I focus on making each tweet burst stand out, I get a good amount of visitors back to my site, but the biggest problem is keeping focus. Twitter is a commitment, but this Buffer application should make things a lot easier!

I have just started to use Buffer, and it seems to be a decent application. Nothing too fancy, as it is mainly used for scheduling tweets. I haven’t fully explored what it can probably do, but it is handy if you need to schedule a tweet.
