Lesson 1. Natural Hackers Are Doers

I am not necessarily talking about hard work here, although there is a great amount of that involved as well.

I am talking about setting the goals you want to achieve and figuring out the best, most innovative route to get there.

Take the road less traveled, in other words.

For instance, I’ve been struggling with what to write about in this post for about a week now. I still don’t know where this post will end.

However, instead of complaining about the “writer’s block”, here I am talking to you and letting my ideas lead me.

If you don’t start doing it, it’ll never get done. Period.

So start today.

Lesson 2. Mind the Changes

Many of us are afraid of changes, yours truly included.

I was first introduced to the idea of creating an online business by an MLM company about 2 years ago.

Since I have a very impulsive nature, I jumped right into it and worked very hard for a year. I was determined to make it work.

However, no matter how hard I tried, I just kept on beating against a brick wall. There was a lot of training available; unfortunately, that training was focused on methods that simply didn’t work and were very counter-intuitive.

My point: hard work alone just doesn’t work.

You need more than that; namely, the smarts to know that what you are doing isn’t working and the guts to make the change.

That’s exactly what I did back then: went off the beaten track in search of the answers. I went out of my comfort zone without any support or guidance, knowing that it was time for a change.

I ended up quitting that MLM company shortly thereafter, but I didn’t see it as giving up. I saw it as letting myself and my business naturally evolve and that sometimes involves practicing “out with the old, in with the new” principle.

Lesson 3. Education Is the Key

Whoever said that if an online business requires an investment of any kind, it must be a scam, has never made a dime online, I am convinced of it.

If you don’t have it naturally, you go learn it from someone who does, even if it costs you a pretty penny. Hanging around forums and blogs all day just won’t do the trick, trust me (although it does exclude MY blog, naturally; you can and should hang around here all you want).

Mind you, if you are not in any rush to make money and can spend all the time in the world learning free stuff from blogs and forums, this doesn’t pertain to you.

You may or may not be surprised to know that although I am now a proud owner of a fairly popular blog, I am still in the red as far as my income is concerned.

Why? Because I am not interested in making a few hundred dollars per month working this hard. I might as well go get a job then and not bother with a business.

My goal for my business is to create true wealth.

So with that in mind, I am prepared to invest in myself and my business for as long as it takes to get there.

I seek out and utilize the best tools, best trainers, best advice I can get hold of - it’s that important.

Lesson 4. Become the Leader.

Natural hackers are all leaders, no question about it.

“Am I a leader?” was the very first smart question I asked myself when I realized that I was failing in network marketing.

And the very first book I ever read on the subject turned my business upside down and set me on the right path to online success.

Many of you in network marketing heard of it. But I don’t want you to just know of it. I want you to read it. Today. NOW.

Lesson 5. Practical Application: Let’s See What You’ve Got

One of the pillar posts I wrote a while back is 202 Bite-Sized Tips To Insanely Increase Your Blog Traffic.

Most of you have read it. Some of you have printed it out and even put it on the wall.

But how many of you realize that that’s the best hacker manual out there - known to me, anyway?

Those are the very out of the box strategies I used to build up Traffic Generation Cafe within a few months. This is exactly how I became a hacker!

Let me show you what I mean.

Tip 38. Write exclusively about a certain theme for a week.

This is my first theme-week - all about content writing. And it’s turning to be quite a hit and bringing in more traffic that I never had before.

I have several more “theme” weeks planned - now that I know they work.

Tip 39. Ask a question everyone else is afraid of asking.

Just wrote a post based on that tip: Keep Your Money, Honey: Which Internet Marketing Products Are Not Worth Their Salt.

In that post, I openly talked about all the internet marketing products that drained my pocket, but did nothing for my business. Needless to say, it was a hit.

Going against the grain is never a comfortable feeling, yet the reward just might be worth it.

Tip 53. Write a list of 101 people, blogs, topics in your niche.

I surely did use that one to its fullest - only I doubled the number. The reason I did that was because I saw a post on 101 traffic generation tips, and naturally, I needed to go bigger and better than that.

Tip 95. Post on the weekends because there are fewer posts.

Just started doing that with my Sunday Coffee with Ana series.

Originally, just wanted to see how much traffic I can get on Sunday. Turned out - a lot.

Then my readers suggested I do live broadcasts (tip 44. Crowdsource your next post idea to your readers) and by the time this post is published, I would’ve already done my first one. Hope it went well…

And here’s your challenge: show me what you’ve got.

Show me and your readers, but most of all, yourself that you have a hacker in you, that you can and will see something where others see nothing.

Tip #138. Create an exhaustive list of jargon for your niche – with definitions.

Tip #151. Make a post about what in your niche is being done wrong and how to correct it.

Tip #157. Create a list of “bite-sized” tips for your niche.

Tip #162. Collect inspirational quotes from other bloggers in your niche; compile them in a post.

Tip #166. Ask other bloggers (preferably more influential ones) to review your blog and make a post about their findings.

Tip #174. Be a comedian – “They’ll be standing in line for that old honky-tonk monkey shine!”

Tip #193. Do a Twitter search on a particular subject, compile them in photoshop and do a review of the trend.
